Milwaukee: City of Neighborhoods

December 15th, 2016

“City of Neighborhoods” is a colorful PowerPoint program that charts Milwaukee’s evolution as a city of “Sides”—North, South, East, and West—and its further division into neighborhoods—Bay View, Layton Park, Pigsville, Washington Heights, Rufus King, Riverwest, North Point, and numerous others. The result is a mosaic of small-scale hometowns that make the city both intelligible and approachable.

The Shalom presentation is sponsored by KOACH, an adult education program of the Jewish Community Center, and it includes an optional kosher lunch. People of all backgrounds are welcome.

Reservations are required. Call Diane Sobel, KOACH director, at 414-967-8258, to reserve your place or request more information. A book sale and signing will follow the program.
