Milwaukee: City of Neighborhoods at Brookfield Library

July 18th, 2016

“City of Neighborhoods” is a colorful PowerPoint program that charts Milwaukee’s evolution as a city of “Sides”—North, South, East, and West—and its further division into neighborhoods—Bay View, Layton Park, Pigsville, Washington Heights, Rufus King, Riverwest, North Point, and numerous others. The result is a mosaic of small-scale hometowns that make the city both intelligible and approachable. The talk is part of a slow, time-release book tour for Milwaukee: City of Neighborhoods. A sale and signing will follow.
