Made in Milwaukee: The Economic Roots of Brewtown

Milwaukee has made its living in a multitude of ways over the last 175 years. Growing from roots in shipping and grain-handling, the city became a manufacturing powerhouse, sending its products all over the globe. In recent years, service industries have claimed a larger place on the economic smorgasbord. From beer to gears and from hides to Harleys, “Made in Milwaukee” will offer a colorful and enlightening look at the people and products that have made Milwaukee famous. The event will be held in a most appropriate place: Good City’s new location in Century City, the former A.O. Smith manufacturing complex.
